In 2023, SIAN’s Emi Cocktail Ring was acquired by the MAKK Museum of Applied Arts Cologne as a representative piece of contemporary jewellery. Since December 2024, it has been on view in The Fascination of Jewellery: 7000 Years of Jewellery at the MAKK, an exhibition tracing the cultural and artistic history of jewellery across millennia.
Presented within this wider historical context, the Emi Cocktail Ring becomes part of a dialogue between tradition, construction and innovation. Its inclusion in the MAKK collection reflects the museum’s interest in contemporary positions that expand the language of jewellery through new methods, materials and forms of expression.
